Meetings:
There will be an RLC meeting this Sunday, June 6th, 8pm at Outlaws Restaurant. All camp staff is required to be there. Our next general meeting will be Sunday, June 6th. It will be at our usual time of 7pm at Outlaws restaurant located in the Econolodge on Memorial Ave. And of course anyone who thinks they might be interested in joining is always welcome to come! Our doors are open to anyone and everyone!!! Bring a friend!

Guatemala 2008 In April, Chloe Langlois, Dayna Makila and Slim Babay traveled to Guatemala on our club's fourth amazing adventure. This year they helped build a fire station in a much needed area. They had an amazing experience with the children and the culture and can't wait for next year when we plan on doing our first independent project in Guatemala!
Below is a write-up on a local partnership we had with Harbour Youth Services and our Guatemala trip... 
From caring hearts in Canada to the grateful arms of children in Guatemala! Pictured above are the smiling children who were the excited recipients of these hand made literacy kits that were personally delivered by Thunder Bay Rotaract members during a recent visit. Harbour Youth Services' "Kids Care Club" members (pictured below) were proud to partner with the Rotaract Club of Thunder Bay to make this very special project possible! 
District Conference - April 30th - May 4th Tyler Halverson and Brandon Otway traveled 13 hours to Dickinson, ND for the annual conference. They both had a terrific time, learned a lot about Rotary and made some great contacts to help us with some of our upcoming projects. We were awarded the Presidential Citation for meeting all of the goals set out by R.I. and were also awarded the best International and Community Service Awards for Rotaract in our district.
Next year the conference is in Minot, ND on April 23-26.
Past Events: Guatemala 2006 and 2007   
Our group has returned from their trip and had an amazing time. More pictures to come! The Purple Pinky Project was a HUGE success for the Interact Club. It was their first event and they raised approximately $1700.00 for Polio Plus. The money raised will allow almost 2000 children in developing nations to live their lives without the threat of contracting Polio. Way to go Interact!!!
