Meetings: Our next general meeting will be Sunday, May 10th. It will be at our usual time of 7pm at Outlaws restaurant located in the Econolodge on Memorial. And of course anyone who thinks they might be interested in joining is always welcome to come! Our doors are open to anyone and everyone!!! Bring a friend!
All meetings are held at 7pm on sunday evenings at Outlaws restaurant at the front of the Econolodge Hotel on Memorial Ave. 2007-2008 Rotaract Executive Elections were held on Sunday Aug. 19th, the new executive for 2007-2008 is as follows: President - Dave Mossman Vice President - Ryan Lepage Treasurer - Brandon Otway Secretary - Jen Lepage Sargent at Arms- Chloe Langlois What has the Rotaract Club been up to?? Guatemala 2007 In February, Johnny de Bakker and Doug Gorrie traveled to Guatemala on another amazing adventure. This year they helped build another school in a much needed area. They had an amazing experience with the children and the culture and can't wait till next year! St. Patty's Day Pub CrawlJessica Ritchie and Dave Mossman put on the 2nd annual St. Patty's Day Pub Crawl. With over 100 people, 2 donated buses, and personilized t-shirts, no one could have asked for a better night. Money was raised for our annual Rotarat Leadership camp.   Spaghetti Dinner In April our Annual Spaghettin Dinner took place at the Oliver Road Community Centre. Over nine hundred dollars was rasied for the Dew Drop Inn. Thanks to everyone who came out and especially Mrs. Bava and the Bava family for all their help. (Thanks for all the chocolate eggs Mrs. Bava) A Loss in the Rotary Family On Wednesday, December 7th, Peter Cloke passed away after a brief battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by the countless people he touched in his life. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, December 10th at 2pm at Jenkens Funeral Home. Our club is starting a scholarship fund to honour his life and keep his legacy alive.
We will all miss you Peter but you will live on forever in our hearts, minds and the way we live our Rotary lives.
A Night of Recognition and Congratulations At our October 15th meeting, Past-President Brandon Otway was honoured with a plaque thanking him for his hard work in his year as president. Even more importantly, Peter Cloke was presented with a Paul Harris Fellow which was given to him from the money raised by the Interact Club's Purple Pinky project in February. Keeping with the handing out of recognition, Leslie Savitsky was presented with a framed collage of the Rotaract events and was made an honourary member of the club for all of the help she has given to our club, including our meeting room. Last but certainly not least, Jessica Ritchie presented all of our new members with their membership pins. 

Past Events: Spaghetti Dinner On Saturday, April 1st, our club held a spaghetti dinner to raise money for the group that travelled to Guatemala this past February. It was a huge success and special thanks go to Rosie and Sarah's moms who kept the kitchen running smooth the entire night. Thank you very much ladies. St. Patty's Day Tour of the Bay!!! 
Happy Time Tours supplied the bus and we brought the party and raised a few hundred dollars for charity!!!
Guatemala 2006 
Our group has returned from their trip and had an amazing time. More pictures to come! The Purple Pinky Project was a HUGE success for the Interact Club. It was their first event and they raised approximately $1700.00 for Polio Plus. The money raised will allow almost 2000 children in developing nations to live their lives without the threat of contracting Polio. Way to go Interact!!!
